This exciting, growth position with Langensheidt Publishing Group as Sr. Database Manager is located in Long Island City, NY near convenient subway station just a few blocks away.

 

Responsibilities:Managing the procedures for new title set-up in database. Review and systemize title formatting and item class codes for each title. Provide accurate information to Account and Sales department on data feeds. Develop weekly reporting to company on all new titles available. Titles declared OP and any title changes. Develop procedures along with MIS and Inventory control to maintain an accurate base and purge old files. Develop integrated procedures to feed data to and from Marketing and production departments. Work closely with MIS to maintain data integrity with company financial  system (Great Plains). Develop procedures for maintaining accurate information on company Web site. Maintaining company title database of 28,000 lines (5,000 active titles). Managing staff of three.

 

Experience Required:Direct working knowledge of financial systems such as Great Plains, SAP or similar. 3-5 years experience in database, financial reporting group with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
