Job Description:

Corporate & Technology Purchasing is responsible for all indirect goods that serve the day-to-day needs of our company. The position will assist in the sourcing technology products (hardware and software) for the company. It is our goal to establish the most cost-effective relationships available with providers of these materials, because we buy not only for our Walgreen stores, but also for our district offices, distribution centers, our corporate headquarters and WHS.




Essential Skills:

Work with Purchasing Agents on sourcing suppliers, negotiating price, terms and conditions, processing purchase orders. Responsible for following up on orders with suppliers to ensure proper delivery. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.



Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree, Excellent organizational and communication skills required. Purchasing skills a plus. Individual should be detail oriented; ability to multitask and have strong analytical skills; ability to interact with all levels within and outside the organization; decision making and creative ability are a necessity; ability to work independently as well as with others in a fast paced environment.
