BUYER
Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for procurement of electronic components such as PCB?S, Electronic Sub-components, AC Induction Motors (nonstandard), DC Motors (nonstandard), BLDC Motors (nonstandard), Transducers, Wiring Harnesses, Contract Manufacturing for our PBC Assemblies, etc. Responsible for developing electronic supply base for all electrical components and assemblies.Work closely with Electro-Mechanical Engineers.Locate and recommend potential suppliers.Negotiate pricing with current and potential suppliers.Evaluate supplier performance including quality, delivery, price and technical support.Efficient scheduling of parts delivery to minimize inventory.Visit suppliers on a regular basis.Participate in product development to negotiate pricing on component parts.Analyze quality of supplier?s product and assign corrective action if needed.Develop and maintain supplier relationship.Travel required up to 25% of the scheduled work time.
Education and Experience:B.A./B.S. degree from a 4-year college or university and 3 years minimum work experience in a related field.Experience working with Electrical Suppliers.Basic Knowledge of Electronics and/or Mechatronics.Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.Strong reasoning and analytical skills.Knowledge of fluid power dynamics a plus.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
