BUYER - NORTHEAST REGION

WESCO Distribution, Inc., an international full service industrial distributor of electrical components and distribution equipment is looking for an Buyer for our Northeast Region.  Be part of a rapidly growing company that provides excellent customer service and value added services

Responsibilities:
Supports region, district and branch management on purchasing and inventory needs
Maintains branch's purchasing, inventory and supplier files
Supports central buying for multiple branch locations
Create stock replenishment orders based on demand and market activity
Utilize purchasing systems and programs to maximize customer service levels and financial performance
Expedite open purchase orders on suppliers to maximize stock availability
Review and take action on supplier shipping errors

Requirements:
College degree or 3+ years experience in purchasing or supply chain management
Skilled in fundamental computer operations
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment 
Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with branch operations and suppliers at all levels in the organization
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Knowledge of WESCO branch operations
