BUYER - PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer at our Arlington Heights, IL distribution center. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted and timely supply of product to our warehouse location and customers.  We are seeking an individual who thrives on building effective business relationships, has a customer-driven focus and strong follow up skills.  Primary duties will included:

?  Process purchase orders acting as a liaison between employees and suppliers

?  Develop and execute RFQ packages

?  Develop cost analysis documents in order to develop solid negotiation strategies

?  Negotiate pricing, terms and other contractual issues with suppliers

?  Ensuring on-time delivery through effective expediting and follow up

?  Evaluate supplier performance and develop new sources of supply as required

?  Promote clear communication between Purchasing, Sales and Suppliers

?  Developing supplier relationships

?  Reducing supplier lead-times

?  Develop efficiencies with processes and procedures

?  Leverage volume to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining acceptable inventory levels

 

Qualified professionals should have:

?  Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent in experience

?  Experience with project management, expediting and optimizing inventory levels

?  Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills

?  C.P.M. certified a plus
