Bilingual Purchasing Agent - Oil Industry

About the Company Growing international trading company is seeking an energetic individual to fill this position in our Grand Prairie, Texas office. About the Opportunity We're looking for the right person who is interested in long-range career growth and has the strategic ability to plan for his/her professional future. This individual will guarantee the continuous supply of raw materials and goods to our Customers at the best price and on time. Guarantee that all orders are received, logged and correctly processed within one day of receipt of order. Must enter customer order dates. Responsibilities include negotiating prices with vendors, monitor and evaluate supplier performance, develop new sources, coordinate shipment of inventory to customers, resolve shipping discrepancies, and negotiate returns of over-shipped inventory.

Qualifications

Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Candidate will possess 3-5 years progressive International Purchasing and/or Logistics experience.

Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or related field.

Reading/analyzing specific documents according to position.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional requirements include: the ability to work well under pressure, proven skills in negotiation and development of new suppliers plus computer skills in MS Word.

Organizational skills are critical.
