The Consumer Electronics group is looking for a buyer to grow its Flash Memory business by building vendor relationships, negotiating contracts & pricing, developing promotional schedules, maintaining a competitive stance, expanding selection, and working with the planning team to maintain a healthy inventory. Job responsibilities include strategic planning, sourcing, pricing, contribution profit maximization, and site presentation.
The ideal candidate brings established knowledge of Amazon buying systems and relevant vendor relationships at a national level in related hardline products and/or industries. This candidate should also have experience in team-building and management, planning and forecasting, and a background in the internet or e-commerce. They must be able to work in a highly demanding, but collegial environment where teamwork is a must. Successful candidates will be highly organized, self motivated and have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point), including substantial understanding of data management and databases.
