Google is looking for a Buyer to join our Purchasing team and support the continued growth of our Company. (As well as look for great prices and help maintain excellent vendor relations.)

Responsibilities

High volume order placement for various types of commodities.
Demonstrate the strength to support departmental viewpoints, policy and influence the action of others with divergent interests. 
Strength in negotiations, cost/price analysis and purchasing procedures.
Source, evaluate and recommend potential suppliers
Partner with client groups, taking on whatever role is necessary to achieve business objectives.  Exercise judgment within
broadly defined practices and policies in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
Develop partnerships with other groups to foster cross-functional teamwork and achieve desired targets.
Resolve receiving and accounts payable discrepancies.
Support cost reduction programs
Perform first level support to investigate and resolve order problems (both internal and external).
Process purchase orders received via Oracle i-Procurement interface.
Update and maintain records and files as necessary.
Follow up on open purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate with internal customers.
Where purchased items are drop-shipped to remote locations, create shipping notices and communicate shipping information to destination sites in a timely fashion.
High level of Customer Service for internal customers   
Education Requirements:

BA or BS and a top academic performer.
4-6 six years of buying experience.
MRP
Good knowledge of buying terminology and basic principles.
Previous ERP experience ? Oracle 11i experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to operate software applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Self-starter, proactive problem-solver, team player.
Ability to set priorities, plan work and meet deadlines in a dynamic, environment
Organized and thorough; detail-oriented.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Compensation/Benefits:
    $20-$30 per hour
