Buyer III

You will manage large contract negotiations and direct all sourcing activities relative to the negotiations, procurement and delivery of goods and services. Oversee the management of buying staff in order to ensure that the organization receives maximum value in terms of price, quality and reliability. Primary responsibility is sourcing vendors, negotiating and vendor relationship management. Maintain, update procedures and/or policies for vendor management program. Key objective of position is to achieve an optimum price while maintaining outstanding quality, service and vendor relationships. Promote and encourage maximum use of system data complying with internal guidelines and maintaining ISO standards. Five years in the purchasing and procurement field required. Specialized skills include: typing, filing, 10-key, customer service and PC including MicroSoft Office software. Supervisory experience required. Travel for this position: 25%. Overtime required as needed.
