Buyer (Job Code BR05)

Participates in many aspects of buying including establishment of relationships, account management (from establishing credit terms to solving payment issues), sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, product transportation, financing, and vendor performance evaluation. Position requires knowledge of electronic and chassis components, including fabricated sheet metal, fabricated PC boards, PC board assemblies, cable assemblies, and various electronic components. Candidate will work sometimes alone and often with others to meet company commitments. The individual must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. Must have experience placing and tracking orders using a MRP system. A Bachelor of Science degree with focus in business is desirable, 5 years experience in the electronics industry required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required.
