Buyer/Purchasing Representative

Quan Emerteq, a growing medical technology and manufacturing company located in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul, is looking for a Buyer/Purchasing Representative. This position will be responsible for administering Quan Emerteq?s purchasing procedures in accordance with the current requirements.

 

Primary job responsibilities include:

 

?  Place purchase orders for supplies, raw materials and other items that require procurement

?  Enter Purchase orders into system and establish credit terms with new suppliers

?  Establish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers

?  Maintain an updated list of suppliers in the system and ensure applicable suppliers are added to the Approved Supplier List

?  Verify receipt of goods purchased and reconcile against purchase order

?  Monitor inventory levels and establish a system for reorder points

?  Execute other misc. projects and processes related to the purchasing function

 

A qualified candidate must have a minimum of a 2 year degree and at least one year of experience working in a professional environment, with demonstrated organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and negotiating skills. Preferred candidates may have a 4 year degree with up to 3 years of experience working in a professional environment and some experience in Purchasing.
