Certified Buyer

We currently have an opportunity for a Certified Buyer in our Atlanta facility who will increase efficiency in the purchasing process with execution at the lowest total cost while ensuring high levels of overall customer satisfaction.

In this position you will:

? Prepare and process purchase orders acting as a liaison between employees and suppliers`

? Develop and execute RFQ packages

? Negotiate pricing, terms and other contractual issues with suppliers

? Ensure on-time delivery through effective expediting and follow up

? Evaluate supplier performance and develop new sources of supply as required

? Promote clear communication between Purchasing, Sales, and Suppliers

? Develop supplier relationships and reduce supplier lead-times

? Leverage volume to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining acceptable inventory levels

? Maintain tracking/reporting systems, monitor agreements and resolve problems with suppliers

? Employ cost reduction techniques with emphasis on negotiation and value analysis

? Works with the site?s internal departments to ensure that their requirements for materials or supplies are procured according to their needs for the least total overall cost.

 

A successful candidate will have the following education, skills, and experience:

? Bachelors degree in related field and 3+ plus years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

? Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or APP certification required

? Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at various levels and functions and stellar customer service skills

? Demonstrated negotiation expertise and technical understanding of manufacturing and procurement processes

? Customer oriented, positive attitude, team participation, problem solver

? Excellent time management skills and detail-orientation

? Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
