Commodity Planning Analyst

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIREMENTS:
?Responsible for all aspects of Material Cost Controlling and financial analysis for the Purchasing Group supporting FLLC North American operations.
?This position will work closely with the Purchasing group to manage and control costs of all raw materials and purchased components used within FLLC vehicle manufacturing plants and the Gastonia part manufacturing plant.
?Primary support will be focused on, but not limited to: purchased component/assembly material cost development, monitoring and reporting on component purchase price changes, analysis of material cost changes as a result of Engineering changes, Monitor Purchase variance to ensure accurate Purchase Price Files are maintained.
?Support Purchasing team with accurate and timely reporting of annual Volume of Buy (VOB) by component, commodity, and Supplier as needed.
?Work with PUR management to establish viable cost reduction targets based on Commercial (negotiated) cost reduction initiatives. Monitor and report on target achievement, by VOB and per units, as needed
?Manage and control the Raw Material Surcharge (RMS) impact for the FLLC extended supply base, provide monthly RMS reporting by supplier as well as vehicle impact via maintaining dedicated RMS tracking specs.
?Manage analysts that support DMO, Commonality and Raw Material Surcharge analysis
?Develop and maintain abroad understanding of the truck assembly business in order to analyze operational issues for required business changes and early identification and management of risks to the business results, either actual or planned.
?This position also requires significant IT knowledge, as data needs to be pulled from various legacy systems:
oMicrosoft Access: Deep experience with creating queries and maintaining data tables for interrogating data pulled from SAP and DB2 tables, and, as necessary, to create reports as requested by management.
oSQL: ability to create code as necessary to perform complex queries and data analysis in Microsoft Access and DB2.
oDB2: Detailed knowledge in database management topics to ensure data integrity and proper maintenance of collected data. Detailed knowledge in database coding and programming related to data access and analysis to find appropriate data needed for ad-hoc reports.
oVisual Basic: Familiarity to create macros and code necessary to automate complex manual processes.
oMicrosoft Office: User knowledge to create applications crossing over Excel and Access as required to meet business needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required, coupled with five to seven years of practical experience in Controlling, Cost Accounting or Financial Analysis within a Manufacturing environment. MBA / CMA preferred. IT background as described required.
