Contract Administrator

The purpose of this new position is to ensure efficient management of the Company?s contracts and agreements.  Under the direction of the Legal Department, the Contract Administrator will closely interact with other departments within the Company to develop procedures and processes that ensure the efficient administration of contracts and agreements, from issuance and execution to timely entry into an enterprise contract management database.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1) Develop, document, implement and maintain effective processes and procedures for the contracts function, fully aligned with an enterprise contract management system

2) Provides assistance and guidance to facilitate contract development and implementation

3) Monitors contracts and agreements to ensure conformance with Company policies and legal requirements

4) Ensure proper maintenance of all Company contract files to provide a sound audit trail and a substantive basis for dealing with contract claims

5) Ensures adequate training of Company personnel on the use of the enterprise contract management system (some infrequent travel required)

6) Provide functional guidance to contracts professionals on the enterprise contract management system, ensuring a consistent approach to contract issues

7) Develop and effectively utilize reporting functionality of the enterprise contract management system for auditing and internal review purposes.

 

Bachelor?s Degree in business; 4-7 years corporate contract experience with 2 years of industry related contract experience preferred. 

 

The selected candidate will also have the following:

1) Strong capability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

2) knowledge and efficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

3) knowledge and use of commercial contract management software

4) the ability to work independently

5) be highly organized with a superior attention to detail

6) Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
