Contract Manager Food & Beverage Sourcing

This position?s primary focus will be to manage all centralized sourcing and contracting for general areas of beverage products and services in support of the Company?s strategic sourcing, purchasing, and e-procurement strategy by aligning with key business unit executives. Overall food and beverage product knowledge is necessary, as this candidate will be assigned various categories as secondary responsibilities. This position will report to the Director of Sourcing, Food & Beverage and be domiciled in Memphis, TN.

The position requires strong business, financial, and customer service capabilities in order to facilitate and structure deals that protect Harrah?s best interests and meet the needs of internal customers. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, good listener, and solution-oriented problem-solver with the ability to handle a variety of tasks independently and efficiently. Additionally, this individual must be energetic, ethical, and desire a challenging work environment.


?Implement, maintain, govern, and report the food and beverage products/services sourcing strategy to include detailed customer communication campaigns, kick-off meetings and site visits
?Develop processes and techniques that target sourcing efforts for most appropriate food and beverage products/services to enhance shareholder value by performing analysis, baselines, make-buy, and total cost of ownership models
?Review and assess product/service needs and ensure alignment of the food and beverage product/service procurement programs to the strategic, business and product plans of the Company
?Collect and analyze market intelligence about food and beverage suppliers and products/services, and use such information to develop and/or improve sourcing solutions
?Provide project management and leadership for any new and enhanced supplier integration activities
?Prepare requests for proposals (?RFPs?) and analyze supplier responses
?Develop, facilitate, present and implement a process for supplier evaluation, selection and measurement
?Negotiate, implement and manage supplier agreements, including critical product/service/supplier issues
?Continually monitoring and assessing ?total cost? implications of assigned products/services
?Ability to work with all Operations Management teams to assist with last minute sourcing needs
?Manage the creation of all assigned food and beverage contract books and ensure the inclusion of all required documentation and approvals

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

?Bachelor?s Degree in Business or other professional degree preferred
?5 ? 7 years of functional sourcing experience in the following areas; procurement, Stratton Warren or similar procurement system, and/or contract management system experience
?Previous property- and/or corporate-level experience in food and beverage purchasing activities for the casino and/or hospitality industries preferred

Ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups to explain policies and procedures, and to persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action. Ability to effectively present information and/or a convincing argument to executives.
