Contract Negotiator

As the second oldest company in Georgia, Atlanta Gas Light and its parent AGL Resources are not content to do business in the same old way. Today, AGL Resources is positioned to become the preeminent distributor of natural gas along the east coast, providing service through six utilities, two gas storage facilities and an asset management company.

The Contract Negotiator will be responsible administering contracts to include source selection, contract development and negotiation for AGL Resources and subsidiaries.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

? Responsible for implementing the overall supply chain vision as it pertains to assigned commodities.

? Responsibilities include total cost management of assigned service categories including aggressive corporate cost savings targets, supplier management; spend analysis, contract approvals, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

? Negotiates contract terms to support the purchase of services, drafts contract language, coordinates contract development, and works with legal to finalize contract language.

? Provides spend analysis to customers; determines quality of offers based on market conditions, provides recommendations to customers; and supports customers as subject matter expert in the area of contract procurement, negotiation, and administration.

? Ensures contract terms, conditions, pricing, and supplier quality are in compliance with company policies and procedures.

? ?Service? responsibilities include fleet expenditures, legal, HR, and other consulting services, and environmental services.

? Building and maintaining a working relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers while driving toward a collaborative culture between all parties. 

? Responsible for adhering to Supplier Diversity process and procedures.

Education and Experience Required:

? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience and 5-7 years related experience

Preferred:

? Master's degree

? Solid organization skills and the ability to troubleshoot and provide successful solutions

? Good knowledge of procurement and strategic sourcing

? Proven ability to simultaneously manage projects in a fast-paced environment
