Core Technical Buyer

ZF is a leading worldwide supplier of driveline and chassis technology and is among the 15 largest automotive suppliers in the world.  Due to our business needs, we have an immediate need for a Core Technical Buyer. 



Responsibilities include: 

 ? Manage Systems Supply Strategy by Commodity.

? Define & negotiate statement of work, supply and warranty agreements, and other contractual/legal items.

? Supports process/quality management run at rate with core supplier quality engineer at component supplier.

? Maintains supplier directory database.

? Releases scheduling agreements for series production and purchase orders for series tooling.

? Negotiates productivity improvements, volume increases, tooling after product launch.

? Facilitates value analysis/value engineering process with suppliers.

? Manages annual commodity development and report results.

? Facilitates supplier development, monitor supplier ratings and resolve supplier performance issues at NAO Systems plant.

? Monitors and negotiates warranty performance of supplier.

? Updates procurement tools and reports to appropriate management channels.

? Supports customer commercial and logistics issues as directed.

 Other requirements include: 

? Minimum of three (3) years automotive procurement manufacturing experience.

? Successful results in cost improvement/containment.

? Experience in cross-functional team environment.

? Excellent written, communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.

? Knowledge of assigned commodities, materials, and processes.

? Working knowledge of U.S. Customs Requirements, and Uniformed Commerical Code, and Industrial Standards.

? Computer, software, manufacturing system knowledge required.

? Foreign language preferred.  (German, Spanish, French).

? Travel required.

 Education:

 Bachelor?s Degree in related field.
