Director of Enterprise Logistics

Scope of Responsibilities:



- Responsible for transforming and improving all processes related to the physical movement of material, including: inbound material handling, presentment of material to manufacturing operations, packaging and shipping of finished goods, transportation management, spare parts distribution operations, and repair and refurbishment operations.

- Responsible for transforming and improving the information flow, systems, tools and processes related to the physical movement of material.

- Responsible for transforming and improving the cash flow processes related to the physical movement of material.

- Provides strategic leadership of Raytheon?s global integrated logistics operations, in coordination with the Supply Chain Council (SCC) and the Raytheon Integrated Logistics Community of Practice (RILCOM).

- Collaborates with every level of management as necessary to execute objectives.




Job Duties:



- Leads and co-manages RILCOM (a team of logistics leaders representing each Raytheon business).

- Responsible for establishing a strategic plan for continuous transformation and improvement of Raytheon?s global integrated logistics functions.

- Manages high priority, high impact projects using Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) methodologies, in coordination with the SCC, RILCOM and other company people resources.

- Manages enterprise-wide integrated logistics shared service operations, such as the U.S. Bank PowerTrack enterprise third party freight payment system.

- Obtains the necessary expense budget, capital and human resources needed to execute selected transformation and improvement projects.

- Responsible for establishing and managing integrated logistics Corporate Wide Agreements.

- Actively supports Raytheon?s employee and supplier diversity objectives.

- Sponsors R6S specialist and expert projects.



- Collaborates with other Enterprise Supply Chain Management functional leaders, Business Supply Chain leaders and other Raytheon leaders to execute integrated logistics projects.

- Fosters a highly collaborative environment for the RILCOM, including weekly conference calls, quarterly logistics leader meetings, annual RILCOM Partner Forum meetings, and benchmarking field trips.

- Coordinates a robust set of communications processes for RILCOM, including: use of eRoom online collaboration system, quarterly publication of newsletter, internal and external articles, and attendance and speaking at supply chain conferences.

- Manages Enterprise Logistics cost center and achieves budget goals including development and execution of key performance indicators (metrics) both at the Business Unit level and Raytheon Enterprise level.




Required Skills:



- 14+ years of senior level supply chain management and/or logistics management experience.

- Strong, working knowledge operations background (Warehouse management, logistics provider management, material handling and logistics technology/tools).

- Broad understanding of integrated supply chain best practices, information systems and tools.

- Established relationships and contacts with leading suppliers of integrated logistics solutions.

- Excellent project management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.

- Excellent oral and written communications skills.

- Excellent strategic planning skills.

- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.







Desired Skills:



- 3PL / Manufacturing background preferred.

- Performance Based Logistics background highly preferred.

- Government owned inventory management experience preferred.




Educational Requirements:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree (Specializing in SCM or Logistics)

Preferred: M.B.A.
