Director of Procurement



Responsibilities: The Director, Procurement is the process owner for global purchasing and supplier performance which includes initiating and managing ongoing projects to reduce overall procurement costs and improve supplier flexibility, delivery and performance. Additional responsibilities include:Develop and manage a Haemonetics cross-functional user group ?Procurement Council? and or other appropriate infrastructures to develop and maintain a centralized focus on Corporate procurement goals. Identify and produce opportunities for savings, and maintain a join-purchasing platform for supplier negotiation involving multipliable locations, leveraging combined purchasing power and or economies of scale. Ensure there is a strategic process in place for each step of supplier development, from: ?prospecting?, quality/ability rating, price/ terms negotiation, standard contract, to approval, etc. Document process and standards for all supplier contracts.In conjunction with all manufacturing groups, manage and measure supplier performance to meet Haemonetics needs per predetermined terms and metrics. Develop supplier rating and tracking system and maintain Total Cost of Procurement (TCOP) information by purchase and by supplier including hidden cost analysis and tracking.Develop and maintain benchmarking metrics for monthly review. This includes ongoing reporting of true (total) procurement cost, performance and progress toward savings goals including comparison to ?Best In Class? industry standards.

Education, Experience & Skills: Seven years of procurement or purchasing compliance/audit experience. Proven experience leading the development and implementation of strategic procurement programs that reduce total cost of procurement (TCOP) and improve supplier base. Experience developing and implementing supplier performance measurement and tracking systems.Experience in a global, regulated environment is a plus.
