American Pad & Paper LLC seeks a highly motivated Global Sourcing Leader to join its Richardson, Texas procurement team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement of all paper, packaging, and components used in the internal converting of Ampad products or papers supplied to Ampad subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities include:Coordinate purchasing activity with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.Identify, cultivate and drive global supply alternatives.Conduct negotiations (prices and/or terms), creates purchase contracts.Identify cost and process improvement opportunities.Provide requirement and price forecasting reports to senior management.Monitor vendor performance and process credit applications. Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.Provide reports to senior management, such as tonnage allotments, price records, historical/trend reports, inventory levels, and product specifications.Coordinate with all departments as appropriate to report/perform standard cost updates.Some travel required (25%)


Qualifications:Bachelor?s Degree in Business or related field and eight years of experience in purchasing (experience dealing with or working in the office products/paper industry is preferred) or in a related area.Knowledge of AS400 and JD Edwards.

 

Relocation will be considered.
