General Summary:
Procure products from Asia and help in the development/ design of new products working with overseas vendors making sure they provide a good quality product and on time.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Overseas procurement of barware, restaurant supplies, and promotional items; Daily communications with Chinese vendors (emails and phone calls); Continuous contact with the sales team. Negotiation of prices and terms. Provide suggestions and/or instructions on how to modify a product based on the sales team needs. Recognize potential problems and provide suggestions. Obtain samples for sales, shows, and showrooms
Job Specifications:
?Working experience in product development, procurement, importing, or related fields.
? Detail orientated.
? General knowledge of importing procedures.
? Logical, problem-solving, scientific mindset, excellent memory skills and proficiency using the computer to coordinate and communicate projects.
? Ability to work under stressful deadlines; prioritize; interact and communicate with different cultures; multi-task.
? Outstanding Organizational skills.
? Dedication to quality.
? Negotiation of prices, terms, and quality with overseas vendors.
? Microsoft Tools (Excel, word), Adobe Illustrator (preferable)
? International Business degree preferable.
