Jr. Buyer/Planner

Skills:
Dresser Wayne has an immediate opening for a Jr. Buyer/Planner. This person will be responsible for the following job responsibilities: Procurement of parts, materials and services in a cost-effective and timely manner; Perform follow-up / expedites on a routine basis; Resolve Receiving department and/or invoice discrepancies; Coordinate implementation of ECOs; Interface with potential suppliers; Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products, and to establish price objectives; Compile information from periodicals, catalogs, and other sources to stay informed on price trends and manufacturing processes; Confer with vendors and analyze vendors operations to determine factors that affect prices, and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules; Review proposals, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow-up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.



You must also possess strong problem solving and communication skills. You must also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have MRP system knowledge. Experience and/or training in quality management programs such as ISO9000, and Oracle experience is also preferred.



This position requires a B.S. / B.A. in a related field, as well as a minimum of two years experience with a special concentration in planning, purchasing, and manufacturing.
