Logistics Coordinator
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To schedule, route, monitor and expedite shipments of numerous materials to assure uninterrupted production and minimize inventory.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES:
Expedite with suppliers materials for rail and marine production. Instruct both suppliers and carriers regarding necessary change in routing transportation mode, shipment dates and quantities to assure timely material arrival.
ACCOUNTABILITY:Monitor and control costs of shipping items. Timely arrival of materials to ensure uninterrupted production.Act as liaison between suppliers, carriers and Gunderson user departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:College degree preferred or five years of applicable logistics experience.Proven analytical and communication skills.Detail oriented.ability to establish and maintain positive relations both internal and external to the company.Manufacturing experience helpful.
