Job Description: Title: Manager, Sourcing and Procurement - Media Networks US-NY (8333)



Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Sourcing and Procurement will be responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, developing and managing stakeholder relationships and providing coaching to more junior staff.

The Manager, Sourcing and Procurement will recommend strategies and priorities to continually improve the spend management in Media Networks. The Manger will also ensure consistency in approach, the quality and depth of analysis, during the strategic sourcing process.

The Manager, Sourcing and Procurement will be accountable for leading business unit sourcing initiatives that consider supply chain processes and infrastructure improvements to drive reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) without compromising business strategy and performance.

The Manager will focus on areas that include strategic sourcing, supplier management, order processing, demand planning, process improvement in our Television, Cable, Broadcast and Engineering environments.

Key Accountabilities:

Demonstrate the highest standard of integrity and ethics in all instances

Serve as a business partner to Business Unit key stakeholders by identifying their critical business requirements and providing procurement services to meet/exceed their expectations

Lead Strategic Sourcing initiatives (feasibility, sourcing, supplier management) for Media Networks and NY BUs and in coordination with Category Leads and other Segments. Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following the Strategic Sourcing process

Manage staff and drive internal skill/capability development to broaden and build their skill sets and capabilities

Establish and manage strategic relationships with key BO&E suppliers as well as other vendors servicing the NY businesses

Provide rigorous cost and market analysis following the models established by Strategic Sourcing focusing on the total cost of ownership

Prioritize and Manage operational procurement activities, leveraging e-Procurement catalog content and other sourcing technologies where appropriate, coordinated with the Category and other Segment Organizations

Ensure that compliance, cost savings and performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance are established, tracked and achieved

Expand the areas of influenced spend through the development of strong stakeholder relations leading to early involvement in spend decisions.



Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree on a quantitative discipline preferred
Demonstrated expertise in the application of the sourcing process in technical and non technical, complex environments
Detailed and structured cost/financial analysis
Demonstrated ability to exceed the demands of various internal stakeholders across multiple projects
Demonstrated capacity to influence future clients at all levels in the organization
Ability to lead/coach more junior staff

Industry knowledge:
Related industry experience procuring a diversified range of products and services (design, engineering, services, content, creativity)
Understanding and ability to apply e-procurement technologies
Deep understanding of external market analysis to ensure best pricing/service mix



Desired Qualifications:
5-10 years experience in leading/managing sourcing teams in a technical environment (not production sourcing), with additional experience in a wide range of commodities
