Manager, Strategic Sourcing

Metalworking Products, an Allegheny Technologies Company (NYSE:? ATI), one of the world's leading producers of tungsten-based products has an immediate opening for a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to serve our seven U.S. based manufacturing locations.? Under the general supervision of the Director, Purchasing, this position will partner with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions in all MWP business units to identify strategic sourcing opportunities, especially in the area of high dollar volume commodities.? Position will also develop, publish and maintain reporting systems on supplier performance as well as communicate this information to the suppliers.? Position supervises the day-to-day activities of two clerical support positions.? The position is responsible to assist in maintaining proper inventory levels of required direct and MRO items.? Performs key role in supplier sourcing and development by partnering with QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions to identify key areas / issues of sourcing and develops long term relationships that benefit MWP and the respective supplier.? Partners with Safety / Environmental function to maintain current qualification levels and obtains proof of insurance on contractors and subcontractors.

Minimum Position Requirements:? Minimum of 3+ years experience in Supply Management requiredMaterials Requirements Planning (MRP / MPS) requiredDemonstrated success in commodities materials and international purchasing experience requiredDemonstrated experience / skill in area of supplier sourcing and development, as well as cost savings and supplier negotiations requiredBeginner to Intermediate PC skills requiredBachelors degree required.? Business Administration or related discipline preferredPurchasing (CPM) and APICS (CPIM) certifications preferred.Supervisory experience preferred
