Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer Purchasing (MEP) in our Indianapolis, Indiana facility.

The successful candidate will:
Manage supplier development projects and improvement initiatives with supplier using DMAIC, Lean, DFX, Training, etc. Lead root cause corrective action of systemic quality non-conformance to improve supplier performance. Execute Production Rate Readiness with suppliers and prove process capability. Project manages resolution of quality issues throughout the supply base. Act as quality representative for Supplier Business Relationship Assessments. Support cost excellence initiatives as identified. Conduct initial assessment of potential suppliers. Assist supplier in managing product introduction or source/location change.

Position requirements include:
Basic: Bachelor of Science degree with 5 - 10 years experience.
Preferred: Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or business. Master of Science degree preferred. Green belt or black belt certification preferred. Proven track record in root cause analysis, problem solving, and process improvement techniques required. Proven expertise in applying quality and lean manufacturing tools and techniques while building alliances with suppliers. Strong interpersonal skills required, with the ability to communicate orally and in writing to all levels within the organization.
