AFP is currently in search of a:  Materials Manager

 

Retirement has created a challenging opportunity for a dynamic Materials Manager at Advanced Food Products in Visalia, California.  This is a key staff position reporting to the Plant Manager, sharing tactical day to day Purchasing and Scheduling activities, and overseeing the strategic aspects of a two person Materials Management department.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of Purchasing Department process improvements and savings, supporting a multi-line food manufacturing division of a large multi-plant international corporation.  Experience in Grain and Dairy related commodities, and Food Packaging are desired.  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft/IBM compatible products, excel and word, with strong written and verbal communication skills are required.  Experience with AS 400 MRP demand planning is desired.
