Merchandising Assistant - Clothing

 

Due to growth, Tractor Supply Company in Brentwood, TN is looking for a Merchandising Assistant - Clothing.

 

Job Purpose:

The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for assisting the Buyer/Associate Buyer in the execution of all administrative merchandising responsibilities. This position is not a visual merchandising or creative position.

 

Responsible for:

? Coordinates and gathers information requested from buying team including financial recaps, advertising submissions, end-cap submissions, and miscellaneous project submissions.

 

? Oversees all advertising samples and downloading of skus for promotional workbench documents. Buyer and Associate Buyer is charge of page, cut, zone and retail information.

 

? Interfaces with Merchandise Control Team regarding article set up, cost/retail price changes, and vendor set up.

 

? Enters sku information on all PO worksheets from buying team and sends to supply chain. Oversees all EDI orders are executed with supply chain analyst.

 

? Execute all VPA setups while working with vendors.

 

? Assists associate buyer with mangers meeting buying and blue book.

 

? Completes price discrepancies for accounting.

 

? Interacts with vendors on scheduling vendor conference appointments and assisting with the FFA national conventions.

 

? Creates and organizes a master filing system for buying team.

 

Secondary Duties:

 

? Performs duties as assigned by a supervisor.

 

Requirements:

This position requires a high school education; associates degree preferred; any suitable combination of experience and education will be considered.

 

The candidate must have problem solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, build financial models, drive and expedite project analyses, and have an excellent attention to detail. Must operate with a high sense of urgency and self-starter attitude.
