Merchandise Coordinator

Exciting opportunity with a growing distributor in the promotional products, apparel and sports industry!

We are a 20-person golf tournament and promotion marketing company in Beaverton looking for a Merchandise Coordinator.

Skills/Qualifications:Ideal candidate needs 2+ years experience in the promotional products industry.Customer service, negotiation, self-confidence, product knowledge.Must be very detail oriented, organized with time management skills.Skilled at working under pressure to meet event dates and deadlines. Be able to multi task and work in a fast past environment.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills.Work well with numbers and financial information.Need to have great work habits, be motivated, creative and a team player.

Responsibilities:Create purchase orders to vendors. Fax, follow up, confirm receipt of purchase orders, go over pricing and make sure vendors can meet ship dates. Enter orders accurately into the computer system.Put together job jacket including all purchase orders, quotes, correspondence, copy or image of any artwork used for company logos.Communicate with clients that their orders have shipped. Track shipments daily to confirm delivery. Send client e-mail confirming delivery. Give certain documents in the job jacket to the accounting department when an order starts.Communicate with decorators, send artwork, and confirm decorating charges and completion dates.Coordinate timing with decorating companies and internal staff on delivery and pick up of goods.Manage and keep orders up to date when changes are made.Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.Keep Production Sheet up to date and current so all team members are on track. All dates must be accurate. Also, confirm team members are meeting dates on the production schedule. Coordinate and control all orders. Make sure everything is on schedule including merchandise being delivered to our company, the decorators and any merchandise being delivered to customers. Make sure orders are on schedule to meet ship dates and event dates.Vendors are to fax invoices after orders ship, if not, call and confirm charges. Update orders and give to salesperson to sign off. Close orders and pass to accounting department for invoicing. Let salesperson and manager know of all problems or issues that come up with orders immediately. Help research and price out products for new projects.
