Outsourcing Specialist

In this role you will develop and implement strategies for outsourcing of materials and lamp requirements for the Automotive Lighting division. Work with all arms of the Hillsboro operation to identify opportunities to cut cost and improve operational performance through creative sourcing opportunities. Identify and develop potential partners, both internal and external to OSRAM, with the goal of lower cost, more efficient and more profitable operations. Work closely with global CBMs to best utilize the combined capabilities of entire enterprise, thus maximizing the benefit to OSRAM, while also remaining a competitive supplier of goods and services to the Automotive Industry.
Position Requirements:
Utilize the resources and capabilities of the Hillsboro operation to effectively implement approved outsourcing plans according the time and budget constraints established. Effectively communicate and collaborate across the entire organization to insure that any procurement moves are made effectively and efficiently with a seamless transition from a customer perspective.
- Serve as Project Leader for any product or material moves to locations not previously utilized by the Automotive Lighting division. The goal will be to insure that the appropriate Automotive Industry controls and certifications are in place. Also insure that the development of strong systems for managing product quality, delivery performance and cost improvement are in place and functioning at any partner businesses.
- Develop comprehensive goals and measurement systems to insure that our sourcing strategies are meeting or exceeding the expectations established through the approval process. Conduct regular management reviews both internally and with the partner businesses. Fulfill all reporting requirements related to sourcing and sourcing productivity as required.
- Participate as a member of the Hillsboro Materials Department with the responsibility for effectively communicating our outsourcing strategies, goals and support requirements to all members of the department while supporting the product line team short and long-term objectives. Work closely with all departments in Hillsboro to effectively communicate our outsourcing plans in an effort to gain consensus whenever appropriate.

Experience/Educations Requirements
- 5+ years progressive/related experience
- Proven ability to lead change
- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively with associates at all organizational levels
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Finance/Accounting
- In depth knowledge or experience with the Asian market.

- Mandarin or similar language knowledge
- Advanced Degree and/or applicable executive education development
- Multi-function experience - Materials/Purchasing, Operations, Marketing, Finance
- Knowledge Of Automotive Marketplace
- Prior management experience in global business unit
