Procurement Analyst

Responsibilities:
Managing assigned suppliers including tracking supplier performance, tracking contract compliance, and handling day-to-day issues
Providing analytical support to sourcing projects including profiling Ingram Micro spending patterns, analyzing the supply market, and analyzing supplier proposals
Implementing new supplier agreements: major commodities are IT Hardware, It Software, consulting services and outsourcing service providers
This position also has transactional responsibilities including: (1) placing purchase orders; (2) researching and resolving customer service problems (correct receiving, pricing and payment discrepancies); (3) completing month-end processing as required; and (4) providing other transactional support as required
This position will provide project management for small sourcing initiatives
The IT Procurement Analyst will also provide other sourcing support including developing policies, training associates, and commodity coding.

Requirements:

Education:
Minimum A.A. degree required.  Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:
Minimum 6 months buying experience in sourcing, purchasing or other analytical position. One year experience preferred
Knowledge of: Accepted procurement standards and procedures, indirect spend categories in operations, professional or administrative services
General accounting principles and procedures, including account reconciliation and billing procedures
6 months experience with Oracle Procurement application or similar ERP or procurement application preferred
Proven skill in: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
Ability to:  Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner
Work independently and/or in a team environment
Implement and facilitate procurement policies and procedures
Provide instruction to U.S. based non-inventory procurement staff. Overtime and quarterly travel may be required
