Principle Duties and Essential Job Functions:

Buyer is responsible for executing the acquisition of Hardware, Software, Services and other Information Technology related resources. The buyer's responsibilities starts with (but not limited to) receipt of an authorized Purchase Requisition (PR). The buyer is responsible for performing and coordinating procurement activities in the following areas: soliciting quotes, cradle-to-grave acquisitions, procurement card transactions, establishing SAP Contracts and Purchase Orders, establishing CostPoint Purchase Orders, reconciling and processing invoices, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications: Must be able to provide work guidance and direction to other professionals.Uses judgment and initiative in solving problems. Overtime is expected during peak buying periods (e.g. quarter end and year end). Must have a working knowledge in a procurement environment. Must be computer literate with various software applications and tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, SAP, CostPoint and Rightworks). Familiar with Labor/Technical Subcontracts. Familiar with Data Center Hardware and Maintenance Contracts. Familiar with Leasing across all IT platforms (e.g. PC's, Mid-Range, Mainframe), building leases, PABX and T-Com.
