Lead a team assigned to obtain goods and services within a specific sourcing area, in order to meet or exceed the Corporation's needs for quality, cost and service. Mentor and coach team members in the development and implementation of the Corporation's strategic sourcing strategy and annual procurement plan to ensure that the Corporation's buying power, name and reputation are fully leveraged.

Manages and implements the strategies, tactics and objectives of a Corporate Strategic Sourcing unit with focus on an assigned sourcing group. Works as a member of the Supply Chain management team with responsibility for the design, development and implementation of best practices strategic sourcing policies and processes, along with long-term planning and daily management of procurement operations for a particular sourcing group across the corporation. Leads cross-functional project teams.

Anticipates changes/marketplace trends and develops creative, cost effective alternative solutions. Looks for and recognizes areas of improvement and recommends changes to services and processes that will optimize the supply chain and create value for Deluxe. Ensures acquisitions represent the lowest cost - best overall value for the corporation by actively working with business unit leaders and partnering with the Supply Chain to search for appropriate business solutions and cost saving approaches to procurement of goods and services.

Sells new procurement concepts to business unit customers by:
* Preparing cost/benefit analysis (includes client requirements, lifetime costing, tax effects, insurance, indemnity, global sourcing issues, etc.)
* Using a Request For Proposal (RFP) process and
* Making formal presentations to business leaders of required procurement changes/recommendations.

Responsible for:
* Negotiation and contract strategies.
* Evaluation of bids.
* Selection and relationship management of preferred suppliers.
* Evaluation of supplier performance and resolution of quality issues, and
* Compliance to Deluxe's ethical standards, corporate policies and procedures to protect the company from any legal or business risk.

Responsible for leading a sourcing team, employee development, performance management, regular coaching and communication with team members.

Qualifications
Required:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
5-7 years experience managing and leading complex projects and initiatives.
Minimum of 5 years experience working in a corporate or business unit procurement group.
Must have demonstrated experience leading teams and working on cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with the business.
Demonstrated experience in management and leadership, project management, strategic sourcing and supplier management, with an ability to drive change, build and maintain collaborative relationships, and effectively work with business partners.
Must have strong influencing, analytical and decision making skills and be results oriented.
Must possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to multiple demands and rapid change in a virtual business environment.
Must have a strong customer focus approach and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:
People management experience.
Prior experience in Advertising and Media or Site and Operations (including MRO) or Corporate Services.
Master's Degree.
CPM Certification.
Contract Management experience.
Knowledge of related computer systems and technology.
