Production Manager

Job Description: A Print Buyer at HSBC will be responsible for buying and managing inventories of various operational printed materials which include credit cards, business forms and other related collateral materials for various business units and initiatives. They consult with Marketing and agencies as a technical advisor on production of designs and develops production timelines and consults with end users to manage deliveries, storage constraints, and quality issues. Analyzes usage, historical and forecasted, to maintain EOQ for inventoried items and avoid stock outages. Additional responsibilities include collecting competitive bids, as well as working within established contracts, to develop cost savings and support aggressive schedules while maintaining strict quality requirements. You will create and execute purchase orders using Purchasing tools and by following departmental policies and ensure integrity of printed materials by proofreading and executing approval procedures. Maintains relationships with vendors and monitors their performance.

Job Experience:
This position requires an individual with:


Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in purchasing printed materials and services preferred.

Minimum of two years of work experience in purchasing and inventory management.

Experience in the printing industry is strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Access are required.

Experience using automated purchasing and inventory management systems a plus.

Must have advanced knowledge of principles and techniques of printing process through multi-color, offset technologies.

Must have strong project management skills.

Must have strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
