About the Opportunity Purchasing Agent Summary ? The Purchasing Agent is ultimately responsible for the procurement of high dollar/high impact materials/rental equipment that meet the cost and service requirements of construction. This person will work directly with the warehouse to maintain/ improve supply chain management and inventory management. This is a very unique position that requires creativity and the ability to work with other departments to organize and consolidate needs. About Us ? Qualifications ?
Bachelor of Science
Minimum 5 years of purchasing/ procurement (manufacturing or construction experience a plus)
Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain Management
Experience and knowledge of Inventory Management

Requirements ?
Select the overall best value suppliers that meet construction requirements for materials and equipment (cost, quality, on-time delivery and fast response to schedule changes).
Develop and maintain existing suppliers and new sources of supply to support growth and cost objectives in support of business models (small tank requirements, reduced lead-times, on-time delivery and best total value).
For each tank, provide accurate and timely take-offs from drawings to obtain quotes and source with the best total value supplier to meet tank schedule requirements.
Generate cost trend and forecast data for major commodities reflecting market conditions.
Develop and maintain an accurate database for supplier profiles, cost trends, service and inventory levels.
Provide leadership in the design and implementation of service systems and productivity improvement initiatives.
