Purchasing Analyst

The BearingPoint Purchasing Team is currently searching for Procurement Analyst

Location: McLean, VA

Relocation: No

Performance Profile:

This member of the Procurement team will manage daily procurement operations and assist in sourcing for one or multiple areas/commodities/services. The position will coordinate daily purchase orders and reports, and insure timely delivery of goods and services to end-users. The position will report to a member of the Procurement leadership team.

This individual will also assist in evaluating existing suppliers and selecting and developing new suppliers and contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities - specific tasks associated with performing this job
Work with internal departments to clarify their procurement needs

Purchase Order Maintenance and functional use of OneGlobe's procurement module
Regularly develop, expand, and maintain business operations standards
Keep end users advised of status of orders
Work with accounts payable to resolve supplier or end user invoice issues
Gather and analyze data, and prepare necessary reports for Manager/Sr. Manager, Procurement
Assist on procurement projects as required
Other duties as assigned by Manager, Procurement

Basic Qualifications:
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

Procurement Experience or corporate development experience
Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Excellent verbal/written communication & interpersonal skills
Clear understanding of financial measurements/systems
Autonomous decision making ability
Ability to work appropriately with confidential information
Limited travel required.
