Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Panhandle Energy and Southern Union Company, has an opening at our Overland Park, KS office for an

 Purchasing Analyst II

 

This position will perform and oversee administrative/purchasing activities, which may include the following: 

 

Purchasing expensed and capital materials, evaluating requests for quotes, placing and expediting orders, follow up with receipt and payment, preparing special reports, maintaining records ensuring proper documentation of approval authorization in purchase order and inventory files, processing accounts payable, and miscellaneous general purchasing duties.

 

Qualified candidates must possess:

 

- College degree or equivalent work experience preferably in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration

- Knowledge of engine/compressor components and characteristics

- Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Access, Word is preferred

- Two years of business experience in any of the following areas: procurement and inventory techniques, principals, and policies

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
