Purchasing Assistant in Energetic, Fast Paced Company

Sleep Innovations, Inc., located in West Long Branch, NJ, is a fast growing bedding products and accessories company with a fast paced, energetic environment.  The Purchasing Assistant will assist the Corporate Purchasing Manager with day-to-day documentation processing and reporting.

 

Job Duties include:Match and Process A/P Invoices for Goods Purchased by Corporate PurchasingReconcile Inventory for Contract Manufacturing LocationsProcess Inventory Transfers for Contract Manufacturing LocationsReview and Process Freight Invoices against contracted rates and submits for approvalGenerates weekly reports for Contract Manufacturing LocationsWeekly review of supplier Purchase Order reports versus Internal open Purchase Order reports to ensure all information is in sync. Process PO Closures from vendor reportsLog and Track all Corporate Purchasing Samples Reconcile Monthly A/P Statements from SuppliersMaintain Purchasing Filing System

 

Sleep Innovations is looking for a high school graduate (college a plus) with 1-3 years experience in either Purchasing or Accounts Payable.

 

Skills required:Expert knowledge of Excel and Windows based ERP systems (such as Great Plains)Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, E-Mail, InternetFine-tuned and accurate data entry skills Strong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and manage time effectivelyBasic math skills (ability to use a calculator, calculate percentages)Ability to work independently Ability to adapt to change (flexibility) and do whatever-it-takes to get the job done.
