Purchasing Clerk

Job Description:

 

Established textile-manufacturing facility searching for an experienced Purchasing Clerk to perform various duties in the purchasing department.  The ideal candidate should have previous experience dealing with vendors to secure the best price, quality and service for our company.  Should also be a diligent team player with positive personality and time management skills.  Warehouse experience beneficial.

 

Other qualifications include in-depth experience as follows:Familiar with inventory tracking Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PP)Complete various standard purchasing responsibilities.  Prepares requisitionsTracking documentationPrepare related letters and memosPrepare reports of purchasing activitiesDelivery verification Shipment returnsPricing requestsAbility to deal with overseas vendors

 

Employment Standards:Extensive background and experience in purchasingExcellent command of the English language a must.Some college preferredAbility to work effectively in an office environmentExcellent organizational skillsIdeal candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.  Must be detail oriented.
