Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities for this exciting position include:

-  Orders merchandise to stock 300+ stores using data entry skills and maintains the integrity of this data through quality control procedures.

-  Maintains spreadsheets and resolves issues with regards to outstanding open purchase orders and backorders on a daily and weekly basis using MS Excel.

-  Provides prompt and friendly response time to customer care issues for the store personnel, vendors, and in-house coworkers.

-  Generates various comprehensive reports for management using MS Access.

-  Communicates with vendors on a daily basis with regards to product delivery issues, placing orders for miscellaneous parts, special orders, employee purchases, etc.

-  Contacts vendors daily to confirm receipt of purchase orders.

-  Prepares and processes employee purchase agreements.

 

This position requires an individual to be detail oriented, highly organized, possess the ability to develop an effective working relationship with the company?s operations? staff, and provide the tools to support the company?s business, both by working independently and as part of a team.

 

The minimum qualifications to be considered for this highly visible position within a successful, growth-oriented environment include:

-  Data entry experience.

-  Good communication and organizational skills.

-  Customer service background.

-  Able to type 50 wpm.

-  Excel spreadsheet experience.

-  Access background a plus.

-  Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
