Purchasing Coordinator - National Restaurant Chain

The Job

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in the Atlanta, GA (Perimeter) office.
This individual will be responsible for supporting the purchasing team.  No travel is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

? Support the purchasing team on a variety of daily tasks

? Assist in the setup and maintenance of vendor information in company software system
Assist in generating documentation for new item setup and inputting data and pricing into company software system
Collect, record, and distribute daily commodity market information

? Prepare and distribute various reports for the purchasing and supply chain teams on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

? Prepare and distribute quarterly newsletter

? Assist in the collection of dues from franchisees

? Serve as the communication conduit with other internal departments by communicating pricing, product builds, and marketing information

? Communicate pricing and item information to distribution centers

? Aid the supply chain team in building forecasts for tests and national promotions



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

? High School Education or equivalent required.  Secondary Education preferred

? Two-Four years relevant work experience

? Food service experience a plus

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

? Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Access, PowerPoint and Excel

? Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with constant changes

? Ability to multi-task many activities, projects and timelines

? Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy

? Strong oral and written communication skills.

? Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization

? Self starter with the ability to set priorities and goals and work to accomplish the goals
