ABOUT THE COMPANY

 

You must be currently employed in a similar role at the Manager / Director level with a multi-plant Fortune 1000 firm to be considered for this position. This position will pay a base of  $90-120K plus bonus plus long-term incentives with an exceptional benefit package. 

 

ABOUT THE JOB

 

In this position you will: Develop and execute global strategies to manage the corporation?s spend in the following commodity categories: Raw materials related to the modular home or home building market: wood, metals, windows, cabinets, exterior doors, siding and numerous other items. You will be in charge of a total corporate budget of over $40,000,000.

 

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum requirements include:

7-15 years Purchasing, Global Sourcing,  Supply Chain Management experience. Current and previous experience must be in the direct materials and commodity side of the business.  Previous experience in the building products or home construction business is highly desirable. You must will have a solid track record of superior performance in a Fortune 1000, multi-plant environment with proof of cost reduction and productivity improvement.  You will also have a track record of success in managing others with excellent leadership and communication and negotiating  skills. Degree required,  MBA preferred. Certifications Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS, CIRM, CPM are highly desirable. Experience in lean manufacturing desirable.
