Purchasing Manager – Industrial Products – to 90K+

ABOUT THE POSITION

 

As Purchasing  Manager, you will be a key player on the Supply Chain team in charge of a spend of $200M covering a wide range of commodities..

 

In addition, you will work aggressively with suppliers to meet quality and delivery requirements as well as developing both short term and longer term strategic sourcing options for the company.

 

You will manage the sourcing process for project-specific commodities and manage the overall BOM for a wide variety of products and specific customized projects for the company. You will work closely with Engineering, the Supply Chain team to maximize customer satisfaction and also reduce costs.

 

 

 

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

 

At least 7-10 years of experience in Purchasing and Global Sourcing with a track record of success in the following commodity areas: metal fabrications, stampings, controls and other items. Solid track record of Continuous Improvement and use of Six Sigma, LEAN and other methodologies.

 

Proven track record in cost reduction and development of strategic sourcing strategies.

 

Excellent written and verbal communications skills  Superb negotiating skills required.

 

Excellent Leadership skills, ability to motivate others. Strong analytical ability . Experience in PPAP, APQP, PPM QS9000 preferred.

 

Degree Required, MBA or MS Degree preferred.

 

 

 

COMPENSATION

 

Excellent package includes a base of $80-100K plus a bonus of up to 20%, 401K plan, outstanding medical and other benefits.
