Purchasing Manager - Electronic Components

USBid, Inc. headquartered in Palm Bay, FL, Inc. is a global e-commerce business-to-business supplier of electronic components to customers worldwide. In the past twelve months we?ve sold to buyers in over one hundred countries. Due to rapid growth we have an immediate opening for a Purchasing Manager to oversee the electronic components procurement process.

 

Successful candidate will be a hands-on Purchasing Manager responsible for supervising personnel and managing the procurement process from vendor selection to order placement through to final customer satisfaction. Areas of responsibility include contract negotiation and review, managing the supplier base to maintain compliance with company standards for purchase price variance, quality and on-time delivery, purchase requisition approval, and management of vendor relationships. The selected candidate will manage a department of 4 ? 5 employees currently focused on these activities plus order tracking, expediting and similar customer service functions.

 

DutiesReview and approve purchase requisitions and sales order placementEstablish Team objectives and measurement systemManage, train and direct a purchasing/customer service team responsible for all aspects of order fulfillment Manage and oversee the procurement process including internal control, financial management, and strategic planning

 

Job Requirements5 ? 7 years of purchasing experience in a fast paced environment, (~ 9000 PO?s annually, approximately 45% international)  Five (5) years minimum of direct management responsibility for a multi-member purchasing groupMinimum of 2 years experience sourcing electronic components or 2 years of experience working as a component engineerBachelor?s Degree, MBA preferredCertified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) Strong analytical/math skills as well as a thorough knowledge of Internet Browser functions and MS Office products ? Excel, Word, Power Point, Access
