Our client, a Fortune 500 consumer / industrial products manufacturer seeks an accomplished Purchasing Manager with a strong background in raw materials, specifically electrical, electromechanical component, control systems, PCBs and other related items. This position will pay a base of up to 90K+ plus bonus and excellent benefit package.
As Purchasing Manager ? Raw Materials, you will work with the Supply Chain team and numerous manufacturing facilities on a global basis. You will be in charge of key commodities involved in the manufacture of the company?s line of industrial products.
Requirements include:
A minimum of 5-7 years in Purchasing Management with significant experience in the raw materials area. We prefer 3-5 years of experience in the specific commodities (electronics, PCBs etc.) with a proven track record of success. You must have a track record of proven success in cost reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply Chain Management.
Experience in E-Commerce, E-Auctions, E-Sourcing is preferred. We prefer a candidate who has been managing a total spend of $100M-$200M+ with at least 20% in E-Commerce.
Excellent knowledge of systems, such as SAP, ERP, MRP, JD Edwards is preferred.. Six Sigma background and experience in Lean Manufacturing is also highly desired. Degree required, MBA preferred.
