Purchasing NPI & Capital Project Manager

 

 

Shiloh Industries, a growing supplier of steel blanks, stampings and processed steel to automotive and other industrial manufacturers, is searching for a Purchasing NPI & Capital Project Manager for our Corporate Purchasing Department.

 

Candidate will be responsible for overall management of the purchasing activities associated with all corporate projects requiring capital expenditures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 

?  Execute all projects on a timely basis and within established budgets and in full compliance of all policies and procedures.

?  Lead role as the purchasing representative on all capital spend activities throughout Shiloh Industries.

?  Development of overall project schedules for purchasing requirements clarifying metrics and tasks.

?  Drive purchasing team NPI execution of all QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets on programs as liaison between corporate purchasing function and project managers.

?  Issuance of purchasing program progress reports inclusive of QCD metrics clearly capturing areas of risk with mitigation plans.

?  Issuance of capital project purchase orders in a timely manner in full compliance of all Shiloh Industries? procedures and processes.

?  Identifies opportunities for cost savings/avoidance in capital spend areas.

?  Input into corporate capital budgets based on past spend data analysis.

?  Reports directly to the Director of Purchasing.

 

Qualified candidate must have a four-year degree in a field related to purchasing or supply chain management or equivalent.  In addition, the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience in the area of capital spend or new product launch.  Background in the use of program management skills and tools is preferable.  A background inclusive of working in a cross-functional environment is also preferred.  Strong communication skills both verbal and written a must.  Six Sigma and lean working knowledge a plus.
