Responsibilities Include:


To establish Purchasing Policies and Guidelines that will be applied for indirect purchases across Baxter. This role is as well responsible for designing and implementing global strategies for Baxter's P2P process, reporting and metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accumulate and strategically assess the current policies and guidelines for indirect spend across Baxter in order to establish new global practices/processes. Responsible for managing the transition, adoption and implementation to the new processes.
Designing a global integrated strategy for the deployment of the Procure to Pay project for all regions at Baxter (Ariba deployment, P-card, EDI, etc.), in line with regional business needs. Responsible for driving the implementation in all regions but principally in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific and change management in order to achieve full compliance to the identified P2P tools and processes.
Developing a supplier creation process and monitoring supply base rationalization targets and processes. Responsible for PSM strategic and functional development of system requirements to ensure compliance with QA, Finance, IT processes (such as P2P, approval flow, vendor data base, item data base) through a milestone enacted implementation plan.
Work with Supply Chain Finance to establish global reporting capabilities to allow transparent reporting in indirect spend, measurement of purchasing performance metrics and adherence to P2P processes.
Designing an e-procurement strategy and responsible for adoption of the tool by all purchasing teams.
Able to develop good working relations with different functions (IT, RA, QA, Finance) at Baxter to ensure that processes and systems are in line with other function's capabilities and requirements.
Develop strategy for worldwide contract database capabilities.
Collaborate with senior functional leaders to establish short-term and long-term business objectives.
Staff and develop a high performing and motivated team.
Member of the Global PSM council.


Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience, including a track record of managing complex projects, and process & system development and implementation
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations
Business process capability and strategic thinking
Multi-cultural knowledge
Strong leadership skills
