Every product that is sold at a Walgreens store first has to be bought by someone in our vast Purchasing Dept; from ballpoint pens to clock radios to pharmaceuticals. The goal of Purchasing is to drive our sales and profits by satisfying the diverse needs of our customers across America by leveraging proprietary technology to identify and provide the appropriate product assortment on a store-by-store basis.

Areas within Purchasing include: Beauty/Fashion, Consumables/Electronics, Seasonal/Sundry, Health/Wellness/OTC and Photo.

Our Replenishment Buyers-in-Training are given the opportunity to learn the role and responsibilities of the position within a controlled training environment.




Essential Skills:

Responsible for the reorder process and maintenance of warehouse merchandise; maintains in-stock condition, tracks inbound orders into Distribution Centers (includes import items), handles inquiries regarding item status, may forecast needs for ad and promo merchandise; interacts with vendors and outside departments; plus related duties.



Qualifications:

BA/BS degree preferred in Marketing or Business; must be self-motivated, detail oriented individual with excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; strong PC skills; Walgreens replenishment system experience and Walgreens retail experience a plus.
