SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Camarillo company seeks a SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER to purchase computers, consumer electronics and peripherals through vendors, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) excess and retail return channels.



Duties:

Establishing rapport with potential and actual customers



Identifies suppliers by researching materials, equipment, and supplies availability; evaluating alternatives; verifying supplier performance record and certification.



Purchases merchandise by studying needs, preferences, and buying patterns of customers.



Improving processes and procedures



Resolves discrepancies



Determining markups



Prepares special reports based on information and trends.



Determines specifications by analyzing use requirements; consulting with users



Obtaining quotes and placing orders by negotiating price, terms, and delivery



Ensures availability by tracking and expediting delivery.



Improves quality results by analyzing materials, equipment, supplies, and supplier reliability and recommending changes.



Provides purchasing planning and control information



Accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests



Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.




Skills/Qualifications:

5 years experience and proven long term ability to succeed in a buyer/sales environment



Knowledge of consumer electronics channel for large lot buys is a must including but not limited to computers, laptop, ipods, PDAs, digital cameras, etc.



Excellent negotiation skills, strong outgoing communications skills verbal/written.



Attention to detail



Ability to maintain client relationships



Experience in strategic planning, operations research, and inventory control
