Sourcing Manager / Consultant I

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute sourcing solutions based on the annual category plan. Design strategies and processes that emphasize total value to the stakeholders. Resolve barriers to achieving implementation of the category plan. Insure alignment and integration across the enterprise.

 

Organize and facilitate category teams, understand and coordinate stakeholder requirements, negotiate with suppliers, award and execute contracts, manage the successful implementation at affected facilities, and establish continuous improvement processes to maximize the value of contracts.

 

Continuously improve category through understanding of industry developments, new technology, and demand reduction. Identify tools to improve value to stakeholders. Possess ability to identify and drive best practices within the organization.

 

Develop supply base that responds to stakeholder requirements. Use strong change and relationship management skills to implement category programs. Apply highly developed critical and analytical skills to post contract award management process.

 

Establish performance metrics to monitor effectiveness and efficiency of business activities in support of business plan for identified category.

 

Source and analyze potential M/WBE suppliers

 

Work closely with the Law department to ensure full leverage and protection through the development of solid agreements

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor?s degree required; advanced degree desirable

Professional certification desirable

 

KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrated solid vendor negotiation and personal time management skills.

 

Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse set of people, including executive levels of management.

 

Strong leadership, communication, networking, and interpersonal skills

 

Ability to influence management, customers, and suppliers

 

Project management expertise

 

Conflict management skills

 

Technology competence

 

REQUIREMENTS:

4 year college degree

Sourcing Background

3 Years of experience in contract negotiating
